Hey EC SOrry it has taken me so long to reply I have a couple of pedals that I like allot.
One is The Ibenez tube screamer..! People say the reissue is the best. but there are allot of big names using the the cheapest one. Stevie Ray Vaughan had one of each and used them on his recordings. I know that Johnny Winter uses a tube screamer and that is all pluged into a tube amp most of the time. I have one just before a ART single channel Tube Preamp in my floor peddles which I like allot with the tube preamp just after the tube screamer it gives it a dedicated tube just to get that warm sound. just after the preamp I use a Boss ds1 distrotion pedal. the combination of those 3 pedals I can get just about any sound I want of drive. I recently added a new release from boss it is the metal distortion I forgot the name of it. I think it is the zone. wow what a kickin pedal. unreal drive. That pedal by it self can put you over the roof. and the 3 together is way ajustable.
I have another that I like allot I am using it in the studio now and it is very good in the studio. it will get the soundof any thing I have ever heard. The line6 pod. Any of them are good the more you spend the more options you get. I have the software plugin line6 gear gold edition as a dxi or vst plug in for Pro tools it is about $100. and unbeleivable. It has hundreds of presets and a full set up of every amp made and all the effects there are. these are my favorite new pedals. the line 6 pedals you can listen to the demos of the at www.Guitarcenter.com
Any sound you want and you can get a great pedal for about $129.00.
Hope this is helpful.
I will be releasing some new tracks in a few weeks.
Best of all things
Nathan

Nathon, real cool pedal setups and links you supplied. Yup, I like Boss pedals as well. I have the ds1, hm2, dd3, ce2, cs3, oc2, and ns2 Boss pedals. I will try out that new metal distortion pedal sometime. I have the early model HM2, then HM3 came out, and the new one you mentioned. I have a TS9 tube screemer IB pedal which I also like and other pedals. I keep hearing real good things about the line pods\etc. for recording and playing live.
The new line amps have tubes in them now as well instead of all solid state.

I'm like a kid in a candy store when I drop by Music stores like Guitar Center.

Yeper, I like to hear your new tracks when they come out. I'm sure they kick ass\sound great!

Best to you as well.

Regards,

EC\Frank

I have an original tube screamer which is about all I ever use except for a cry baby when the occasion demands it. The tube screamer sounds best when the battery is nearly dead!
I also use a Zoom 707 but only on stage with acoustic instruments for its preamp/eq/mute/tuner facilities.

Real cool equipment!! I love the sound of the tube screemer.
I have one also but not an early TS9.
I do have a real old orginal 60's Arbitrator Fuze Face pedal and that one sounds real cool as well when the battery gets fairly low.

Cool input\thanks,

EC
